Tea with SHE High Tea Event

Since the pandemic, we've noticed that we're still trying to get back into society and understand what the norm is. Even making friends and meeting new people can be scary and that's where we can help. The SHE Campaign Inc. is proud to introduce, Tea with SHE - a high tea meetup for like-minded women to meet and socialise. This was the place to make meaningful connections, strengthen friendships and build our sisterhood in a fun, safe and chill space. We got to connect with women from different parts of Melbourne and share hilarious stories over sandwiches, desserts, tea and coffee!

Muslim Women: Start Your Side Hustle

We collaborated with Sistrv8 (@sistrv8) for a fast-paced workshop to discover how one can apply their passion and convert it into a business idea. This workshop was perfect for those who don't yet have a side hustle or were unsure where to begin. We explored multiple ideas, tuned into our passions, skills and brainstormed purposes to align it all into a running business or passion project.

SATURDAY 7tH MAy 2022

Mindfulness & Self Care Workshop

Introducing The SHE Campaign’s first workshop of 2022 - Mindfulness & Self Care Workshop where we explored tools and plans to be embedded within our day to day routine. Practising self-care isn’t always easy for all of us due to our demanding career or business, family responsibilities, and a social life. Our new wellbeing facilitator, Jamie, gave us an invaluable opportunity of walking us through practical steps, the tools and plans provided by The Black Dog Institute (The Black Dog Institute is the only medical research institute in Australia dedicated to researching mental health for all ages) to strengthen our mental health, boost our immune system and energy levels whilst also making us more resilient in the face of setbacks.

SATURDAY 5TH MARCH 2022

SHE Networks

After all the lockdowns, series of isolations and 2 years since our last event, The SHE Campaign Inc. introduces our first event of 2022 - SHE Networks. Doubling as a networking event and to celebrate International Women’s Day, it was a perfect opportunity to reconnect with friends, meet and build relationships with new inspiring women in the community and empower each other. Our guest speaker, Munira Hassan, a public speaker, writer and journalist, inspired us through her, ‘The Art of Forgiveness’ speech, delivering a message about gratitude and how to master the art of forgiveness. Our guest speaker and MC for SHE Networks, Nadhira Razack, a life and alignment coach with 10 years of coaching experience, empowered us through her ‘The Courage to Begin Again’ speech, covering topics of re-inventing yourself after experiencing loss, how to live everyday feeling that fulfilment and satisfaction and inner knowing that you’re on the right track and how to deal with detours. The speeches from these beautiful souls left us enlightened and hopeful of the endless possibilities and opportunities to attain our goals.

The SHE Campaign Inc. X Podium Collaboration: ‘Sincerely Yours’

Podium is an organisation that aims to amplify the voices of those struggling to be heard and capture the wide variety of talents and voices of Muslim Youth in Australia. Every year, they have a women’s only event called ‘Sincerely Yours’, where sisters are given the chance to freely express their feelings, thoughts and experiences in a safe environment through spoken word, open letters, poems and stories surrounding a particular topic. This year we had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with them on the topic of 'Redefining Success'. With the amazing line of performances we had, including Zaynab Farah, Dr Raja Yasmin, Faseeha Hashmi, Aliyah Abdulalim, Sarah Khattab, Beray Uzunbay and Amran Abdi, and not to mention the brave women in our audience who told their own stories, some of our guests were brought to tears, some inspired and some motivated to take on the world in a new light.

SHE Supports You #3: Set Your Goals Straight

Fatima Raad, ‘The Mindful Parent Life Coach’, hosted our workshop that touched on the psychology behind setting goals as well as addressing the emotional aspects that play into it. This information lead us to understand that ‘self-love’ is the key to achieving the dreams we’ve been wanting in our lives. After a wholesome discussion, we created vision boards to project what we want in the future, and what goals we hope to achieve. We had so much fun creating these beautiful pieces using old magazines and newspapers. They serve to remind us that what we envision for ourselves aren't just dreams but are achievable goals.

SATURDAY 20TH JULY 2019

SHE Supports You #2: A Self Defence Workshop

Opening with Victoria Police Sergeant Maha Sukkar, she gave an insightful discussion on Violence Against Women and the steps we can take to combat it, if it happens to us or someone we know who is affected by it. This was followed by a beginners self-defence workshop by Fatma Kaymaz, the Head Instructor of Olympic Martial Arts Centre, who were kind enough to provide us the space needed.
